In the Cocoon emerges from a period in which movement was abruptly interrupted.

At its core, the exhibition explores the idea of the 'cocoon' - a space of retreat, protection and quiet transformation. Nestled on her hilltop in Stony Hill, surrounded by her garden, mountains and sweeping views of Kingston and St. Andrew, Sutherland Wade creates from a place of calm and deep connection to her environment.

Earlier works are revisited, reworked and re-encountered. With past and present in conversation, she invites us into her cocoon: to experience the same sense of peace that shapes her practice.
